Join Troop 224

Any boy aged 11 to 18 in the Sherwood area is welcome to join Sherwood BSA Troop 224. Our troop thrives in the outdoors, builds character through hands-on leadership, and gives back thousands of hours of service to our community each year. We meet every Monday evening on our dedicated acreage by the Tri-County Gun Club, enjoying fireside gatherings, tomahawk throwing, rope climbs, and active team challenges. From monthly campouts across the Pacific Northwest to summer treks, community service, and Eagle Scout projects, we offer adventures that build lifelong skills and friendships.

Activities at a Glance

We have a lot of great activities planned throughout the year, but one of the most important things we teach our Scouts is how to find balance. Not every activity is required, and Scouts are not expected to participate in everything.

Family, school, faith, friendships, and in-season sports are all important parts of becoming a well-rounded individual. We encourage Scouts to prioritize these commitments while taking advantage of the Scouting activities that fit their schedules and interests.

Scouting is a journey, not a race. Our goal is to help Scouts grow into capable, confident, and well-rounded young adults—and learning how to balance commitments is an important part of that journey.
